BAPE X MASTERMIND JAPAN
Fusion of Traditional Technique Chusen and Street Culture
Chusen is a distinctive Japanese dyeing method that originated in the early Meiji period. By pouring dye over fabric and allowing it to saturate the fibers to their core, it produces a unique gradient with a soft, blurred effect. In this collection, BAPE®’s iconic camouflage pattern is brought to life using rare dyeing machines, of which only a few remain in Japan. The track jacket and track pants, showcasing this Chusen-dyed camo, are finished with bold reflective prints of mastermind’s crossbone skull and BAPE®’s signature STA motif.
